Meeting Wednesday at 6:30 PM (dinner at 6:00pm), Awana reaches kids for Christ through fun, Scripture-rich experiences that lead them to know, love and serve Him. Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Awana reaches kids where they’re at and walks alongside them in their faith journey. Those kids who come to faith at an early age discover God’s purpose for their lives and hope for the future. Ministry leaders and parents witness the profound impact Awana has in reaching kids with the gospel and watching them grow as long-term disciples.
Our Youth Ministry is ROOTED. The main event each week is a Wednesday night setting that provides relevant application of biblical principle for youth.
Mt. Yonah is located in an area that many adults choose as a retirement location, for this reason many of our activities are focused to the senior audience. Bible Study, fellowships, concerts, trips and projects both minister to seniors and give senior adults an opportunity to use their gifts and wisdom in service. The second Thursday of the month the Golden Hearts meet at 1PM in the Fellowship Hall for a meal and entertainment.
Women On Mission meet the first Monday of each month in various homes at 10:00 AM. They study missions, pray for missionaries around the world and plan/conduct mission projects from our community. An evening group meets the third Monday of each month in the Conference room of the Heritage Building at 6:00pm.
Community Service and Missions
We are involved in numerous ways to serve our community and carry out the Great Commission. We seek to be an Acts 1:8 church that ministers in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the Uttermost parts of the world. We often partner with other groups to have the greatest impact. Our church campus is used by numerous groups for events of all kinds.
The Friends of Mount Yonah Prayer Team meets on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM in Lorraine Smith's class room. Everyone is encouraged to join this prayer team.
