Intentional Interim Pastor Steve Fenlon
Steve Fenlon comes to us after thirty five years of ministry as singles pastor, minister of education/outreach and senior pastor. Pastor Steve and his wife Kathy love encouraging and helping people in their relationship with God. As Transitional Interim Pastor (TIP), he has been called to lead us in this interim time to prepare for a new season of ministry with our new pastor. He is excited about the future of Mt Yonah and looks forward to getting to know you personally.
Minister of Music
Fred is from Texas, obvious when you rarely see him without his boots on. He and his wife Cherry have lived in Cleveland, Georgia since Fred’s retirement from full-time music ministry in 2015. He received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Baylor University in 1972. After serving as a Captain in the United States Air Force, he attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, earning a Master of Church Music degree and a Master of Arts in Christian Education degree. He has been married to Cherry for 47 years. They served as missionaries to Brazil, and then in churches in South Carolina and Texas. They have four grown and married children, three sons and daughter, and have seven grandchildren. Fred’s ministry goal is to help every person become an authentic worshipper of Jesus Christ. His ministry verse is Psalm 150:6, “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord!”
Sharon joined our staff in 2007. She and her husband Ed & their son Jeremy live in Clarkesville, GA. Sharon & Ed are members of Chattahoochee Baptist Church in Cleveland, GA. Sharon takes care of our office, church publications, correspondence, financial records and many other tasks to assist our church to be effective and efficient in the way we operate.
